What to expect?

During the brewery tour, you will get a behind-the-scenes look at the De Brabandere Brewery. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours and includes:

  • A warm welcome in our impressive ‘foeder’ room
  • An introductory film, tour of the brewery and bottling plant
  • Beer tasting
  • A bottle of special beer (75cl) as a gift

Would you like something extra? After the tour, beer lovers can start brewing their own beer (5€ extra).

Visits are possible for groups of 15 or more.

When?

Tours of the brewery are offered on weekdays and the last tour starts at 18h. Please arrive 15 minutes early.

The price

The brewery tour costs €12.5 per person (including the tasting and a free bottle of special beer).

Frequently asked questions

In what languages is the tour spoken?

The tour is normally conducted in Dutch but can also be conducted in French or English.

How long does the tour take?

A visit lasts about 1h30. For the Petrus Sour Blending, we count about 45 minutes.

What does a visit look like?

You can only visit De Brabandere Brewery with the brewer at your side. He welcomes you in the imposing foeder room, after which you set off on a voyage of discovery through the brewery. You will discover the brewing room, the fermentation room and the bottling plant. Thanks to our brewery film, you will discover more about the history and values of the family brewery. Your visit ends with a tasting of our delicious beers. Would you like to take home a unique souvenir? You will receive a bottle of special beer (75 cl) as a gift, but you can also browse through our shop.

Can I visit the brewery throughout the day?

Our brewery is not free to visit. A visit is only possible in group on weekdays and with a reservation.

Is the brewery easily accessible for the disabled?

The brewery is difficult to access for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties. In fact, quite a few stairs are done during the visit.

What does a blending session consist of?

The Petrus Sours blending session can be booked extra. During this session, our brewer explains the complex brewing process after which you can experiment yourself. During this session, you will become a master brewer yourself and put together your personal Petrus Sour.

What are the parking options?

Parking for both cars and buses is available next to the Brewerhuys.
